Alright- I am back and I have a few things to report:
1. I made it!!! YIPEE! My goal was 4 hrs and I made it in 3:55 hrs (my garmin said 3:52 though so I want to go with that time instead)
2. I did see those big red and white trucks with lovely flashing light on top that drive really fast- I was not in them FEWWWWWWWWWWW!
3. It was so cold and I was not as prepared for the rain but it all worked out.
4. My super cute new tank top I bought that I waited forever for it to go on sale- well I wore it under a old long sleeve shirt for most of the time and by the time I got to the finish line I was so soaked I didn’t look hot in it anymore plus I did my hair and make-up for pictures and it all went to pot 5 mins off the bus--lesson learned—
5. I have never been so excited to see my husband and kids cheering me on as I was on Saturday. I got all choked up and had to fight back tears. THANKS BABE for all your support. Mike has been super patient with me and so helpful. He has been getting up to run with me super early and even riding his bike with my on my longer runs. I have enjoyed the time we get to spend together running.
6. I have never felt so much pain in my lower extremities in this life time as I did once I hit Mile 20. However, just like having babies we know it hurts so badly but we still do it again- we just forget about the pain!
7. I CAN NOT WAIT to do it again in December! ANYONE? ANYONE? Brittany’s in.
8. My awesome friend Deb drove so far to make sure there was someone (other than Mike- just in case his plane didn’t get in) there to take pictures of me and yell my name at the finish line! THANKS DEB!
I know that this is all a bit on the “superficial side” but seriously……
I said I would NEVER do a marathon- I watched Mike and Chris (his BFF) train for them and I truly thought they were crazy. Well, obviously they are totally normal now! I trained for a year and it was so extremly hard. We trained at 4 am in the morning so it didn’t take time away from our families. It was so HOT! We ran in 90+ degree temps for miles and miles- I now know what “BLOOD, SWAET, and TEARS” really feels like.
I am so grateful that I have so many awesome friends who run with me and make it so much more enjoyable and doable. YOU GUYS ROCK AND I LOVE THAT I GOT TO KNOW ALL OF YOU BETTER! I PLAN ON STILL TRAINING SO LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE IN!

Congrats Hot Momma!!!! We were up in St George for conference and I thought about you all weekend! Maybe one day I'll take up running...Patrick's grandfather who is 72 is running this week in the Huntsman Races in ST George. He is such an inspiration also...Just this morning he ran 20 miles to train. I can't believe it!

you did so awesome! And I still think you looked hot in your tank top. I bought a new shirt too and it didn't get seen. So sad. Are you able to walk yet? I feel pretty good today. Of course you can add me to your links...I'm adding you!
Way to go! That's amazing. We're doing great back here. It's a great place to live. I can see why you miss it. I think we're going to go trick or treating on Bethel's main street in a couple of weeks. Did you ever do that? Seems like fun.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I honestly dont know how you do it!!!
