As a mother it is so wonderful to get “warm fuzzie’s” about your child.
I sat down to my computer tonight tired and frustrated with my kids. I opened my email and saw something titled “Just so you know”. YIKES! Most of the time I don’t want to know. However, her words brought so much joy to my heart. I just wanted to share-
****I changed the names in this story for you locals*****
Hi Amanda:
I just wanted to share a little story with you because sometimes we have know idea how aware our children are or if our words resonate in their hearts and minds.
Today I worked in Ms. Fleck's class. As we were cleaning up and getting ready to go home a little boy approached “Ben” and said "you walk funny". I overheard this and must admit that for 1/2 second wanted to glare the boy down. BUT before I could get a word or stare out, Olivia said "That's because Heavenly Father made us all different." She said it with absolute and perfect knowledge and with a calm and sweet voice. I just looked at her and said "That's right, Olivia."
Luckily we were ready to go home because I could not hold back the tears. All day long it has made me tear each time I think of her sweet spirit and her perfect understanding. She handled a situation perfectly and so much better than I could have. Please give her a big hug and know that your teaching and love have resonated in her mind and her heart. I was deeply blessed today by her words and her kindness and so was “Ben”. I just wanted you to know. Thanks!
By the way, she is a very good student and very bright...but I'm sure you already knew that.
Have a great day! See ya soon!

Oh my word take that girl to Claires, buy her a puppy, or whatever she wants. That right there is proof that what you are doing is right. So amazing, brought tears to my eyes. I will sit with my girls tomorrow and read this to them. What an example.
What a darling! Those are truly high moments for a mother. So nice of your friend to send you the note!
She is such a sweet girl. You are obviously doing things right!
This is truly precious! I just want to jump through the screen and give that little cutie a hug. I can tell she's taking after her mom. Amanda, you are just as kind and loving. I'm grateful that my life was blessed with your example!
That's so awesome! It sometimes takes those moments to make it feel worthwhile. Merry Christmas!
That is so sweet, you must be doing a great job!!!
You have the most AMAZING kids. I love when they come over because they teach my girls so much. Thanks for being such GREAT examples to me and my family.
Wow, I love that story. I remember olivia from ABC school and thought she was so sweet, cute and independent. Anyway, sorry it took so long to get you this info, but here it is, the photography is Flashback Images 702 271 5325 and the web site is flashbackimages.net
Let me know what happens with them, if you use them and how you like it. Love your blog.
Oh, how we miss sweet Olivia! I wouldn't expect anything less from that wonderful girl! Hope all is well.
